# Tesy

> Tesy is a Marketplace integration for Home Assistant. It has 65 installs sharing analytics, works locally and was last updated October 26, 2026.

Tesy is a Home Assistant integration that controls Tesy water heaters with an ESP32 WiFi module over the local network. It adds a water heater entity for changing operation modes and, in manual mode (Performance in Home Assistant), the temperature setpoint. Sensors cover temperature, target temperature, time until ready, error status, WiFi signal and uptime. Two energy sensors are included: one for total lifetime use and one resettable, with a button that resets the second. Energy is calculated from the heater's on-time, so the setup asks for the heater's power rating, and it also has a switch for boost mode and one for child lock. Devices with the older Atheros chip are handled through an option for the old API, and setup is done in the UI.

## Supports

- **Works locally**: Talks to your devices on your own network. No vendor cloud in between.
- **From the Marketplace**: Installed through the Marketplace, formerly HACS.
- **Actively maintained**: Its author released or pushed a change in the last six months.

## Setting it up

Install it from the Marketplace and restart Home Assistant, then add it under Settings, Devices and services.

### Connect

- **IP address**
- **Power of the heater for energy calculation**
- **Use old API for devices with Atheros chip**

### After setup

- **Poll interval, seconds**: How often the heater is read (5-300; 30-300 on the old API). Changes made on its panel or in MyTESY appear within this time.
- **Sync the heater time zone with Home Assistant**: Writes Home Assistant's time zone to the heater on start-up and when it changes. The weekly programs run on the heater clock. Turn off if Home Assistant's time zone is not the heater's local time.
