It has 1.2k installs sharing analytics, works locally and was last updated October 17, 2026. ESPHome Designer is a visual drag-and-drop editor for building layouts on ESPHome smart displays. It runs as a Home Assistant integration or as a standalone web app, and it works locally. Layouts are designed on a canvas where Home Assistant entities update live, and a design can be exported as ESPHome lambda code or LVGL YAML, OpenEpaperLink JSON, or OpenDisplay JSON. Existing ESPHome, OpenEpaperLink and OpenDisplay code can be imported back into the editor for further changes. Widgets can be shown or hidden based on entity states, and pages can be given time windows for scheduled content. An AI assistant can generate layouts from text prompts, and a sidebar entry can be switched on in the options. It is set up in the UI and needs the Marketplace.
