# Import Statistics

Import Statistics is an integration that imports and exports long-term statistics using CSV, TSV or JSON files. It adds actions only, with no entities or dashboard cards, and these are called from Developer Tools or from automations. One action imports hourly statistic values from a CSV or TSV file, and another accepts JSON data written into the YAML of the action. Export actions write hourly values to a CSV, TSV or JSON file, and a separate one exports a metadata-only inventory of all long-term statistics, which helps when planning a migration or comparing instances. Import settings cover the delimiter, decimal separator, datetime format and timezone, and the input file needs a unit column that matches units already stored. It works locally with every database Home Assistant supports and is set up in the UI.

## Setting it up

Install it from the Marketplace and restart Home Assistant, then add it under Settings, Devices and services.

## Actions

- **Import statistics from file**: Imports long term statistic values (1h) from tsv/csv file
  Fields: decimal, delimiter, filename, timezone\_identifier, datetime\_format
- **Import statistics from JSON**
- **Export Statistics Inventory**: Exports metadata-only inventory of all long-term statistics (no time-series data). Useful for migration planning and comparing statistics between Home Assistant instances.
  Fields: filename, delimiter, timezone\_identifier
- **Export Statistics to file**: Exports long term statistic values (1h) to a tsv/csv or a json file
  Fields: filename, entities, start\_time, end\_time, split\_by, timezone\_identifier, delimiter, decimal, counter\_fields, datetime\_format
