# ZTE Router

> ZTE Router is a Marketplace integration for Home Assistant. It has 176 installs sharing analytics, works locally and was last updated August 23, 2026.

ZTE Router is a custom integration that reads signal, connectivity and SMS data from ZTE 5G routers and sends controls back. It polls the router locally, with no cloud or external services, and covers the MC801A, MC888, MC889 and G5 series. It adds signal, connectivity and diagnostic sensors, Wi-Fi and LAN client tracking, and data usage monitoring with plan limits and usage alerts on newer firmware. SMS can be read from the inbox and sent either as predefined messages or to any number through a service. Buttons and switches handle actions such as reboot and Wi-Fi toggle, and optional automations for SMS, clearing SMS memory and reboot can be created. A separate advanced service for G5 Ultra routers calls ubus methods directly, and setup runs through a guided flow in the UI where the model is chosen first.
