# Veolia Eau

Veolia Eau is an integration that brings water consumption data from a Veolia account into Home Assistant. It adds sensors for the consumption index, daily, monthly and annual consumption, and the date of the last meter reading. Alerts for daily use, monthly use and an unoccupied home can be set through threshold text fields, and switches choose whether SMS notifications are sent. Binary sensors report the state of each alert, while the notifications themselves are sent by Veolia by email and SMS. The integration re-downloads the current month's history from Veolia and updates the Home Assistant database, so the daily sensor can feed the energy dashboard. It relies on the vendor's cloud and is set up in the UI with a postal code, commune and Veolia login.
