# Leaf Spy

> Leaf Spy is a Marketplace integration for Home Assistant. It has 106 installs sharing analytics, works locally and was last updated October 27, 2026.

Leaf Spy is an integration that receives live data from the LeafSpy app about a Nissan Leaf car. A Bluetooth OBD2 adapter in the car feeds the phone app, which then submits the readings to Home Assistant, and the connection stays local. It provides sensors for battery state of charge, battery health, battery capacity, battery voltage, battery current, battery temperature, charge mode, charge power, ambient temperature and elevation. A binary sensor reports power, and a presence platform is also included. Setup is done in the UI, and the app is pointed at Home Assistant using a generated password and a server address shown during setup.

## From the README

> This Home Assistant component enables you to get information from your Nissan Leaf car into Home Assistant by integrating with the LeafSpy Android or iOS apps.
>
> Plug a Bluetooth OBD2 adapter (like this one) into your Nissan Leaf. Open up LeafSpy and pair your phone with the adapter. It will then read information from your car. This integration will allow your phone to submit that info to Home Assistant.
