It has 59 installs sharing analytics, works locally and was last updated July 14, 2025. Grill Buddy is an integration that monitors grilling temperatures using existing temperature probe sensors in Home Assistant. It supports presets for proteins such as beef, pork and fish, and for doneness levels from rare to well-done. Goals can be a target temperature, a temperature range, an out-of-range alert or a threshold alert above or below a set value. Once a goal is reached the status changes to goal reached, and the probe status reflects the chosen goal. It also predicts when the target temperature will be reached, which can be used in automations such as a notification shortly before the target. It works locally, adds sensors, is set up in the UI, and provides a side panel for configuring probes, their source sensors and goals.
