# Climate Template

> Climate Template is a Marketplace integration for Home Assistant. It has 1.1k installs sharing analytics, works locally and was last updated October 24, 2026.

Climate Template creates templatable climate devices in Home Assistant that run actions when set commands are called. It adds a climate platform that can combine several integrations into a single climate entity. Each set command of a climate entity, such as setting the swing mode, can run a script or call a service. A climate attribute only appears when its template or its matching action is defined, so the device exposes just the features that are configured. When no template is defined, the device works in optimistic mode with an assumed state, which suits IR air conditioners controlled through service calls. It works locally and is added as a custom repository in the Marketplace.

## Supports

- **Works locally**: Talks to your devices on your own network. No vendor cloud in between.
- **From the Marketplace**: Installed through the Marketplace, formerly HACS.
- **Actively maintained**: Its author released or pushed a change in the last six months.

## Setting it up

Add its repository to the Marketplace as a custom repository and install it, then restart Home Assistant. It is then set up in configuration.yaml.

## From the README
