# WeatherAPI

> WeatherAPI is a Marketplace integration for Home Assistant. It has 169 installs sharing analytics, needs the vendor's cloud and was last updated August 20, 2026.

WeatherAPI is a custom integration that fetches weather forecast, air quality and UV data from the WeatherAPI cloud service. It adds a weather entity along with sensors for air quality and UV index, with each air quality parameter as its own sensor. The weather entity also carries the original reported condition, given as condition codes. Setup happens in the UI and asks for an API key, latitude, longitude and a name. Options let the weather related sensors be switched on or off, control forecast and hourly forecast generation, and skip forecast hours that are already past. A free API key limits the forecast to 3 days, while a paid account allows longer forecasts.
