# YidCal

> YidCal is a Marketplace integration for Home Assistant. It has 50 installs sharing analytics, works locally and was last updated November 1, 2026.

YidCal is a custom integration that adds a Yiddish and Hebrew Jewish calendar to Home Assistant. It provides holiday spans, zmanim, fast timers, special Shabbos indicators and binary sensors meant for automations. All date calculations are done within the integration itself, with no separate Jewish-calendar integration, using the latitude, longitude and timezone already set in Home Assistant. The binary sensors cover no-melucha periods for regular Shabbos and for Yom Tov, a bishul allowed sensor that turns off on Shabbos and Yom Kippur, and a sensor for three-day Shabbos and Yom Tov blocks. Entities are grouped into devices for daily sensors, display, special sensors, zmanim and calendars, and it works locally and is set up in the UI.
