# Attribute as Sensor

> Attribute as Sensor is a Marketplace integration for Home Assistant. It has 578 installs sharing analytics, works locally and was last updated October 24, 2026.

Attribute as Sensor is an integration that turns an attribute of another entity into its own sensor. It is added as a helper in the UI and works locally. The source entity and the name are chosen when the helper is created, and the attribute can be picked from that entity. A value template can process the attribute, for example to divide a number by 100, using the attribute result as a variable. Icon, device class, state class and unit of measurement can be set, with a preset unit or a custom one. Most of these settings can be changed later through the options.
