# Shutter Pilot

> Shutter Pilot is a Marketplace integration for Home Assistant. It has 70 installs sharing analytics, works locally and was last updated October 26, 2026.

Shutter Pilot is an integration that automates shutters, blinds and roller shutters by time, brightness or sun position. Each area gets one of four control modes: time-based, lux sensor based, sunrise and sunset based, or no schedule for shading only. Window and door sensors open shutters when a window is opened, and lock protection stops full closing while a door is open. Sun protection shades only when the sun is within the elevation range and facing the windows, and awnings and roof windows have their own tabs with wind, rain and frost protection. It adds status and weather forecast sensors, switches that turn automation on or off per area, and group actions to open, close, stop, ventilate or shade an area. Everything is managed from a sidebar panel and set up in the UI, and it works locally.
