# eSolar

> eSolar is a Marketplace integration for Home Assistant. It has 176 installs sharing analytics, needs the vendor's cloud and was last updated November 9, 2024.

eSolar is a custom integration that reads SAJ eSolar solar systems through the vendor's cloud portal. It polls a private API of the SAJ eSolar portal and supports SAJ R5 and H1 systems, while SAJ SEC is not implemented. It creates a device for each plant and adds sensors such as status and energy, with extra ones for the H1 like sell, buy, charge and discharge energy. What stands out is that it keeps the number of sensors low and puts much of the detail into attributes, which a template sensor can read. Setup runs in the UI with the SAJ eSolar username and password, plus a choice of sites. Options add inverter sensors and Photovoltaics and Grid attributes, and the latter pull more data from the SAJ servers.
