It has 70 installs sharing analytics, works locally and was last updated October 27, 2026. Magic Caster Wand connects Harry Potter Magic Caster Wands and their boxes to Home Assistant over Bluetooth. Spells and button presses become sensor values that automations can use, for example to switch a light on or off. Home Assistant can send actions back to the wand, including setting LED colors, clearing LEDs, vibrating, playing a spell effect and sending a macro sequence. A Spell Canvas camera shows the path of a cast, and a switch turns spell tracking on or off. Options cover an optional recognition server address and a spell timeout that resets the reported spell after a set number of seconds. A single command produces a fixed pulse of about 800 ms, regardless of the requested duration. Fields: Duration - **Set LED**: Set the color of a specific LED group on the wand. Fields: LED Group, RGB Color, Duration - **Send Macro**: Send a sequence of macro commands to a wand or box. Commands run in order and can change LEDs, wait, vibrate, and define loops.
