# Zepp2Hass

Zepp2Hass is an integration that brings health and fitness data from a Zepp smartwatch into Home Assistant. It receives data through a local webhook, where each device gets its own unique webhook URL that accepts JSON payloads. The data appears as sensors and binary sensors. Rate limiting is built in to protect the Home Assistant instance, allowing a limited number of requests per device within a time window. Each webhook also has a small web interface in the browser for retrieving its URL, and an advanced option lets the base URL be changed if the detected one is wrong. It is added in the UI by giving the device a name, and a companion app on the watch sends the data.

## Setting it up

Install it from the Marketplace and restart Home Assistant, then add it under Settings, Devices and services.

- **Device Name**: A unique name to identify this device in Home Assistant

### After setup

- **Custom Base URL**: Custom base URL for webhook (e.g., http://192.168.1.100:8123). Leave empty for auto-detection. Only use this if the webhook URL is incorrect.
