# Elegoo Printer

> Elegoo Printer is a Marketplace integration for Home Assistant. It has 1.2k installs sharing analytics, works locally and was last updated October 26, 2026.

Elegoo Printer connects Elegoo resin and FDM 3D printers to Home Assistant over the local network using the SDCP protocol. It adds status sensors, print thumbnails, a live camera, and controls to stop and pause prints, adjust temperatures and change speeds. Buttons refresh the file list and start printing a selected file, and selects pick the print file and tray. An optional built-in proxy server sends commands and the video stream through one connection, which avoids the printer's limit on simultaneous connections. Per-slot filament entities can be enabled for a connected Canvas (AMS) multi-material unit. Newer models use WebSockets, older ones use MQTT in beta, and Centauri Carbon 2 printers need LAN-only mode. Setup is done in the UI.

## Supports

- **Works locally**: Talks to your devices on your own network. No vendor cloud in between.
- **From the Marketplace**: Installed through the Marketplace, formerly HACS.
- **Actively maintained**: Its author released or pushed a change in the last six months.

## Setting it up

Install it from the Marketplace and restart Home Assistant, then add it under Settings, Devices and services.

### Select Printer

- **Available Printers**

### Manual Setup

- **Printer IP Address**
- **External Address (optional, for advanced network setups)**: Override auto-detected address with an IP address or hostname. Leave blank for automatic detection. Use for Kubernetes/Docker setups or when behind a reverse proxy. Ports 3030 and 3031 will be appended automatically.
- **Proxy Host (optional)**: Host of a forward proxy to connect through (IP or hostname, e.g. the elegoo-printer-proxy). Leave blank to connect directly to the printer. When set, discovery is skipped and the integration routes MQTT control, g-code uploads and the camera through the proxy on the printer's usual ports.

### FDM Printer Options

- **Enable the proxy server**
- **Canvas/AMS installed**

### Resin Printer Options

- **Enable the camera**

### Centauri Carbon 2 Options

- **Access Code (optional)**

### Centauri Carbon 2 Authentication

- **Does your printer require an access code?**

### Enter Access Code

- **Access Code**

### Enter Serial Number

- **Serial Number**

### After setup

- **Printer IP Address**
- **Is this an FDM Printer**
- **Enable the proxy server**
- **External Address (optional, for advanced network setups)**: Override auto-detected address with an IP address or hostname. Leave blank for automatic detection. Use for Kubernetes/Docker setups or when behind a reverse proxy. Ports 3030 and 3031 will be appended automatically.
- **Printer IP Address**
- **Access Code (optional)**
- **GCode proxy URL (optional)**: Base URL of the elegoo-printer-proxy (host, host:port, or http(s) URL. HTTP is used if you omit the scheme). Leave blank to disable.
- **Proxy Host (optional)**: Host of a forward proxy to connect through (IP or hostname). Leave blank to connect directly to the printer. When set, MQTT control, g-code uploads and the camera are routed through the proxy.
- **Printer is often switched off**: Set up even when the printer can't be reached. All entities stay "Unavailable" until it is powered on, instead of the integration reporting a failed setup. Note: a wrong IP address or unreachable printer then looks the same as a switched-off one.
- **External MQTT Broker Host (optional)**: Point at an existing MQTT broker (e.g. Mosquitto) instead of starting the embedded one. Leave blank to use the built-in broker.
- **External MQTT Broker Port (optional)**: Port for the external MQTT broker specified above. Defaults to 1883 if left blank.
- **Printer is often switched off**: Set up even when the printer can't be reached. All entities stay "Unavailable" until it is powered on, instead of the integration reporting a failed setup. Note: a wrong IP address or unreachable printer then looks the same as a switched-off one.
- **Printer IP Address**
- **Enable the proxy server**: Route printer commands and the camera stream through a single connection inside Home Assistant, working around the printer's limit on simultaneous connections.
- **Canvas/AMS installed**: Enable per-slot filament entities for a connected Canvas (AMS) multi-material unit.
- **GCode proxy URL (optional)**: Base URL of the elegoo-printer-proxy (host, host:port, or http(s) URL. HTTP is used if you omit the scheme). Leave blank to disable.
- **External Address (optional, for advanced network setups)**: Only used by the built-in proxy server: the address other devices should use to reach it. Leave blank to auto-detect this Home Assistant's address. For Kubernetes/Docker or reverse-proxy setups. Ports 3030 and 3031 are appended automatically.
- **Printer is often switched off**: Set up even when the printer can't be reached. All entities stay "Unavailable" until it is powered on, instead of the integration reporting a failed setup. Note: a wrong IP address or unreachable printer then looks the same as a switched-off one.
