# Birdfy

Birdfy is a Home Assistant integration that exposes bird species data from a Birdfy feeder camera. It adds sensors for the number of unique species seen today, the most recently detected species, and the count of first-time visitors. It also provides a species list with thumbnails and video links, and the integration offers image entities. Data comes from the vendor's cloud, which the integration polls every 15 minutes by default. Setup is done in the UI with the UUID from a Birdfy highlights share link, and an optional monthly recap UUID adds recap sensors.

## Setting it up

Install it from the Marketplace and restart Home Assistant, then add it under Settings, Devices and services.

### Birdfy

- **Highlight UUID**: Required. The UUID from your Birdfy highlights share link.
- **Recap UUID (optional)**: Optional. The UUID from your Birdfy monthly recap share link. This may be different from your highlights UUID.

### After setup

- **Recap UUID**: The UUID from your Birdfy monthly recap share link. Leave empty to disable recap sensors.
