# Schulferien

> Schulferien is a Marketplace integration for Home Assistant. It has 249 installs sharing analytics, needs the vendor's cloud and was last updated September 2, 2026.

Schulferien is an integration that exposes school holidays and public holidays as entities for automations. It gets its data from the OpenHolidays API, so it relies on a cloud service. It adds sensors for the current school holiday status, the status for tomorrow and the public holiday, plus binary sensors for school holidays, public holidays or both combined, each with a tomorrow variant. The integration can be added several times to follow different countries or regions, and each instance gets its own entity names based on country and region. Bridge days can be entered in a file and are read only when Home Assistant starts. It is set up in the UI.
