It has 176 installs sharing analytics, works locally and was last updated June 10, 2026. IKEA BILRESA Firmware Updater keeps IKEA BILRESA Matter remotes awake while their firmware updates. It runs locally in the background, watches the update state of each remote through the Matter Server, and sends repeated stay-active requests until the transfer finishes. The built-in Matter integration still provides the firmware update entity and downloads the update, so this integration only handles the waking part. On the same device it adds a binary sensor showing when keep-awake is active, sensors for OTA update state, ICD operating mode and last promised active duration, and a button to trigger keep-awake manually. An option sets how often the keep-awake request is re-sent, in seconds. It is set up in the UI by confirming the Matter Server URL, and it detects updates started from other controllers or already in progress after a restart.
