# Affaldshåndtering DK

Affaldshåndtering DK retrieves garbage collection data for Danish municipalities and shows it in Home Assistant. It adds calendar and sensor entities for pickup schedules, and it relies on the vendor's cloud services to get the data. Danish municipalities have no common way of publishing pickup calendars, so the integration supports a range of municipal waste systems and iCal feeds, and the README says this covers around 88% of municipalities. Municipalities that only used RenoWeb are no longer supported, since those pages now require MitID login. Container contents are grouped into common types, and a warning is logged when an unknown pickup type appears. Setup happens in the UI by choosing a municipality, zip code, road name, house number and pickup times, and the options also allow an icon for the next event and a display language.
