# Luxtronik

> Luxtronik is a Marketplace integration for Home Assistant. It has 133 installs sharing analytics, works locally and was last updated September 11, 2023.

Luxtronik is a local integration for heat pumps that use a Luxtronik controller. It adds sensors and binary sensors that read data from the controller over the network, and no extra hardware or software is needed beyond connecting the controller. A service lets automations write parameters, such as the operating mode of the heating, hot water, cooling, pool and ventilation circuits, and the hot water set point. Only a small share of the controller's parameters have a known function and can be written, because the protocol is not publicly documented. Writing unknown parameters is possible only after a safety setting is turned off. The README lists units from several manufacturers, including Alpha Innotec, Novelan, Roth, Elco, Buderus, Nibe and Wolf, and setup uses the configuration file with the controller's host and port.
