# Frigidaire

> Frigidaire is a Marketplace integration for Home Assistant. It has 201 installs sharing analytics, needs the vendor's cloud and was last updated October 18, 2026.

Frigidaire is a Marketplace integration for Frigidaire WiFi-connected air conditioners and dehumidifiers, using the vendor's cloud API. Air conditioners get a climate entity with cool, auto, fan only, dry and off modes, fan speed, target temperature, a sleep preset, vertical swing and an on/off timer. Dehumidifiers get modes, target humidity control and fan speed selection. Optional per-device entities include an ionizer, display light, child lock, filter problem sensor, bucket status and filter runtime. An opt-in heat mode can be turned on for air conditioners confirmed to heat, and an opt-in compressor estimate adds a diagnostic sensor based on temperature and refines the reported activity. Setup is done in the UI with a username and password.

## Supports

- **Uses the vendor's cloud**: Needs an internet connection and an account with the vendor.
- **From the Marketplace**: Installed through the Marketplace, formerly HACS.
- **Actively maintained**: Its author released or pushed a change in the last six months.

## Setting it up

Install it from the Marketplace and restart Home Assistant, then add it under Settings, Devices and services.

### Connect

- **Password**
- **Username**

### Choose a device

- **Ionizer (Clean Air Mode)**
- **Display Light**
- **Child Lock**
- **Check Filter**: Problem sensor that turns on when the filter state is CLEAN, CHANGE, or BUY. Use it to trigger filter-maintenance notifications.
- **Bucket Status**: Shows Full when the water bucket needs emptying and Empty otherwise. Dehumidifiers only — models that report no bucket signal show as unavailable.
- **Filter runtime**: Cumulative air-filter runtime reported by the appliance in native seconds. Home Assistant converts it to the configured display unit.
- **Enable heat mode (confirmed heat-capable device only)**: Explicit opt-in for this appliance only. This does not detect heating capability; enable only after confirming the device supports heat. Temperature limits are unchanged.
- **Enable compressor estimate**: Opt-in temperature-based estimate, not device telemetry. Adds a Compressor Estimate diagnostic sensor and refines hvac\_action while enabled on appliances that do not report modeState.
- **Cooling hysteresis (degrees)**: Temperature deadband around the setpoint used by the estimate. Zero disables the deadband.
- **Compressor off delay (seconds)**: How long the room must remain below the lower deadband boundary before the estimate changes to idle.

## From the README

> A Home Assistant integration for Frigidaire WiFi-connected appliances, using the Frigidaire 2.0 (Electrolux) cloud API.
>
> - HVAC modes: Cool, Auto (Eco), Fan Only, Dry, Off
> - Fan speed: Auto, Low, Medium, High
> - Target temperature control (°F and °C)
> - Preset modes: Sleep
> - Swing modes: Vertical, Off
> - ON/OFF timer control (30-minute increments, up to 24 hours)
> - Extra state attributes: check\_filter, reported\_fan\_speed, and active\_alerts; the legacy current\_fan\_speed alias is retained for existing templates
> - hvac\_action reflects the mode the appliance reports it is actually running, so an Eco/Auto unit shows cooling vs fan as it cycles rather than the requested mode
