# TRMNL E-Ink Display Battery

TRMNL E-Ink Display Battery is an integration that reports battery and connection status for TRMNL e-ink devices. For each device it adds sensors for battery voltage, battery percentage, WiFi signal in dBm and percent, and the time the device last contacted the server. Battery percentage uses the value the device reports and, when that is missing, as on some older devices, estimates it from voltage using a LiPo discharge curve. Data comes from TRMNL's cloud Account API, which needs the Developer Edition add-on and an account API key rather than a per-device key. Setup happens in the UI, with optional settings for a custom API server address and a polling interval that defaults to five minutes and cannot go below 60 seconds.
