# ABB/FIMER PVI VSN REST

> ABB/FIMER PVI VSN REST is a Marketplace integration for Home Assistant. It has 68 installs sharing analytics, works locally and was last updated October 25, 2026.

ABB/FIMER PVI VSN REST reads ABB, FIMER and Power-One PVI inverters through a VSN300 or VSN700 datalogger. It talks to the datalogger's REST API over the local network and maps the data to the SunSpec format before creating sensors in Home Assistant. It detects the datalogger model and finds the connected inverters, meters and battery storage devices. Options cover the polling interval, failure notifications at runtime and at startup, an optional recovery script, and custom device names. Expected nightly outages can be handled by auto-detection or a fixed daily time window, so dropouts while the plant is off are not reported. Devices offer triggers for unreachable, not responding and recovered states, and setup is done in the UI with host, username and password.

## Supports

- **Works locally**: Talks to your devices on your own network. No vendor cloud in between.
- **Device triggers**: Its devices can start automations directly.
- **From the Marketplace**: Installed through the Marketplace, formerly HACS.
- **Actively maintained**: Its author released or pushed a change in the last six months.

## Setting it up

Install it from the Marketplace and restart Home Assistant, then add it under Settings, Devices and services.

### ABB/FIMER PVI VSN REST

- **Host (IP or hostname)**: IP address or hostname of your VSN device (e.g., 192.168.1.100 or abb-vsn300.local)
- **Username**: Authentication username configured on your datalogger.
- **Password**: Authentication password configured on your datalogger.

### Reconfigure ABB/FIMER PVI VSN REST

- **Host (IP or hostname)**
- **Username**
- **Password**

### After setup

- **Scan interval (seconds)**: Fetch interval: 30-600 seconds. Default: 60.
- **Enable runtime failure notifications**: Notify when device becomes unreachable during operation.
- **Enable startup failure notifications**: Notify when device is unreachable at Home Assistant startup.
- **Failures before notification**: Consecutive failures before notification. Range: 1-10. Default: 3.
- **Recovery script (optional)**: Script to run on failure (e.g., 'script.restart\_router'). Leave empty for none.
- **Expected outage handling**: How connection failures are treated when the plant is expected to be off. Auto-detect: a dropout with the sun low and the inverter producing little is not reported; a built-in rule is used for the first nights while the integration learns when your logger switches off and on, then the learned values take over. Fixed window: failures inside a daily time window, set in the next step, are not reported.
- **Inverter device name**: Custom inverter name. Leave empty for default.
- **Inverter 1 device name**
- **Inverter 2 device name**
- **Inverter 3 device name**
- **Inverter 4 device name**
- **Datalogger device name**: Custom datalogger name. Leave empty for default.
- **Meter device name**: Custom meter name. Leave empty for default.
- **Meter 1 device name**
- **Meter 2 device name**
- **Expected outage window start**: Start of the daily window in which connection failures are expected.
- **Expected outage window end**: End of the daily window in which connection failures are expected.
