# UPS SNMP

UPS SNMP is an integration that monitors UPS devices over SNMP, using the standard UPS-MIB and falling back to APC enterprise values. It adds sensors, binary sensors and buttons for each UPS, and every device is set up as its own entry in the UI. It talks to the device locally, runs standalone without NUT or APCUPSD, and needs no cloud service. Polling is split into a fast cycle for AC power state, remaining runtime and output load, and a slower cycle for inventory and other values, with adjustable intervals. Core entities are enabled by default, while the others start disabled and are only polled once enabled. OIDs that a device does not provide are detected and skipped on later polls, and SNMPv2c is tried before SNMPv1.

## Setting it up

Install it from the Marketplace and restart Home Assistant, then add it under Settings, Devices and services.
