# Xiaomi Home

> Xiaomi Home is a built-in integration for Home Assistant. It has 11.6k installs sharing analytics and works locally.

Xiaomi Home is a built-in integration that connects Xiaomi devices to Home Assistant and works locally. It covers many platforms, including vacuums, fans, humidifiers, lights, remotes, switches, sensors and alarms. Setup happens in the UI, where a device can be added with an IP address and API token, or through a Xiaomi account with a server region, and Home Assistant can also discover devices on the network. Beyond basic entities, it offers actions such as resetting a fan filter, setting a light scene, learning an IR command on a remote, and setting a switch power mode. Vacuums can be told to clean specific rooms or zones, or to go to given coordinates. An option lets it use the Xiaomi Home service to get connected subdevices, and a diagnostics file can be downloaded for bug reports.
