# WebDAV

## Supports

- **Uses the vendor's cloud**: Needs an internet connection and an account with the vendor.
- **Set up in the UI**: Add it in Settings, Devices and services. Nothing to download.
- **Bronze quality**: Home Assistant's own rating of its code and setup experience.
- **Updated with Home Assistant**: Ships and updates with every Home Assistant release.

## Setting it up

It is added under Settings, Devices and services, with Add integration.

### Connect

- **Backup path**: Define the path where the backups should be located (will be created automatically if it does not exist).
- **Password**: The password for the WebDAV server.
- **URL**: The URL of the WebDAV server. Check with your provider for the correct URL.
- **Username**: The username for the WebDAV server.
- **Verify SSL certificate**: Whether to verify the SSL certificate of the server. If you are using a self-signed certificate, do not select this option.
