# Velux

> Velux is a built-in integration for Home Assistant. It has 832 installs sharing analytics and works locally.

Velux is a built-in integration that connects Home Assistant to a Velux KLF200 gateway over the local network. It adds covers for the shutters, a rain sensor as a binary sensor, and number entities for the closed and open position limits. Other platforms provided are buttons, lights, scenes and switches. Home Assistant can find the gateway on the network and offer to add it, and setup is done in the UI with the gateway host and password. A diagnostics download is available to attach to bug reports.
