# TP-Link Omada

> TP-Link Omada is a built-in integration for Home Assistant. It has 3.5k installs sharing analytics and works locally.

TP-Link Omada is a built-in integration that connects Home Assistant to a TP-Link Omada controller over the local network. It is set up in the UI with the controller address, a username and password, and a choice of which site to manage. It provides binary sensors, presence tracking, sensors, switches and update entities. The sensors cover CPU usage, memory usage and device status, and the update entities report firmware. Two actions are included: one asks a wireless client to reconnect to the network, and the other sets the name of a client. An option to verify the SSL certificate can be turned off for controllers that use the default self-signed certificate.

## Setting it up

It is added under Settings, Devices and services, with Add integration.

### Connect

- **Host**: URL of the management interface of your TP-Link Omada controller.
- **Password**: Password for the Omada controller user.
- **Username**: Username for the Omada controller user.
- **Verify SSL certificate**: Uncheck this box if you are using the default self-signed certificate on the controller.

### Choose which site to manage

- **Site**: Select the site you want to manage in Home Assistant.

### Update TP-Link Omada credentials

- **Password**: Password for the Omada controller user.
- **Username**: Username for the Omada controller user.
