# Total Connect

> Total Connect is a built-in integration for Home Assistant. It has 406 installs sharing analytics and needs the vendor's cloud.

Total Connect is a built-in integration that connects Home Assistant to Total Connect 2.0 alarm systems through the vendor's cloud. It adds alarm control panels, a police emergency binary sensor, and buttons to bypass a zone, bypass all zones, or clear a bypass. Two extra arming actions are available, arm away instant and arm home instant, both of which arm with zero entry delay. An option can bypass zones automatically when they report low battery, though a bypassed zone is not monitored while the alarm is armed. Another option requires a user code to arm or disarm the alarm. Setup happens in the UI with the Total Connect username and password, plus usercodes for each location.

## Supports

- **Uses the vendor's cloud**: Needs an internet connection and an account with the vendor.
- **Set up in the UI**: Add it in Settings, Devices and services. Nothing to download.
- **Updated with Home Assistant**: Ships and updates with every Home Assistant release.

## Setting it up

It is added under Settings, Devices and services, with Add integration.

### Total Connect 2.0 account credentials

- **Password**: The Total Connect password
- **Username**: The Total Connect username

### Location usercodes

- **Usercode**: The usercode is usually a 4-digit number

### Sign in again

- **Password**: The Total Connect password

### After setup

- **Auto bypass low battery**: If enabled, Total Connect zones will immediately be bypassed when they report low battery. This option helps because zones tend to report low battery in the middle of the night. The downside of this option is that when the alarm system is armed, the bypassed zone will not be monitored.
- **Require user to enter code for alarm actions**: If enabled, you must enter the user code to arm or disarm the alarm
