# Tailwind

> Tailwind is a built-in integration for Home Assistant. It has 847 installs sharing analytics and works locally.

Tailwind is a built-in integration that controls Tailwind devices over the local network. It adds binary sensors, buttons, covers and numbers to Home Assistant. A binary sensor reports an operational problem, and a number sets the brightness of the status LED. Home Assistant can detect the device on the network and offer to add it. Setup happens in the UI and asks for the device host and a local control key token. Connection settings can be changed later without removing the entry, and a diagnostics file can be downloaded for bug reports.
