# System Bridge

> System Bridge is a built-in integration for Home Assistant. It has 401 installs sharing analytics and works locally.

System Bridge is a built-in integration that connects Home Assistant to a computer running System Bridge over the local network. It adds binary sensors for camera use and pending reboot, a media entity, update entities, notifiers, and sensors for readings such as memory use, CPU temperature, CPU speed, fan speed, battery time remaining and boot time. Actions let Home Assistant look up processes by ID or name, open a file or URL on the computer with its default application, and send a power command. Other actions send a keyboard keypress or text for the computer to type. Home Assistant can discover the computer on the network and offer to add it, and setup in the UI asks for host, port and token. A repair notice appears when the System Bridge version needs upgrading.
