# Switcher

> Switcher is a built-in integration for Home Assistant. It has 590 installs sharing analytics and works locally.

Switcher is a built-in integration that controls Switcher devices locally from Home Assistant. It adds buttons, climate, covers, lights, sensors and switches for the devices. Buttons include assume on, assume off and vertical swing on or off, while sensors report auto shutdown and remaining time. A child lock switch is also provided. Two actions let the auto-off setting be changed and turn a device on with a timer. New devices appear without repeating setup, and devices that are gone are removed on their own. Setup is done in the UI with the email used in the Switcher app and a local control token.

## Setting it up

It is added under Settings, Devices and services, with Add integration.

### Sign in

- **Access token**: The local control token received from Switcher.
- **Username**: The email address used to sign in to the Switcher app.
