# Swiss public transport

> Swiss public transport is a built-in integration for Home Assistant. It has 520 installs sharing analytics and needs the vendor's cloud.

Swiss public transport is a built-in integration that tracks public transport connections between stations. It adds sensors for delay, departure, the next two departures, line, platform, transfers and trip duration. Each connection has a start station, an end station and up to five via stations the route must pass through. The departure time can be fixed to a time of day or shifted by an offset, for example to allow for the walk to the station. It can also track the arrival time at the end station instead of the departure time. A Fetch connections action returns a list of connections, data comes from the vendor's cloud, and setup is done in the UI.

## Supports

- **Uses the vendor's cloud**: Needs an internet connection and an account with the vendor.
- **Set up in the UI**: Add it in Settings, Devices and services. Nothing to download.
- **Updated with Home Assistant**: Ships and updates with every Home Assistant release.

## Setting it up

It is added under Settings, Devices and services, with Add integration.

### Swiss Public Transport

- **Start station**: The station where the connection starts
- **Select a time mode**: Time mode lets you change the departure timing and fix it to a specific time (e.g. 7:12:00 AM every morning) or add a moving offset (e.g. +00:05:00 taking into account the time to walk to the station).
- **Select the relevant station**: Usually the departure time of a connection when it leaves the start station is tracked. Alternatively, track the time when the connection arrives at its end station.
- **End station**: The station where the connection ends
- **Via stations**: List of up to 5 stations the route must go through

### Swiss Public Transport

- **Time of day**: The time of day for the connection

### Swiss Public Transport

- **Time offset**: The time offset added to the earliest possible connection
