# Starlink

> Starlink is a built-in integration for Home Assistant. It has 3.2k installs sharing analytics and works locally.

Starlink is a built-in integration that monitors and controls a Starlink satellite internet dish from Home Assistant. It communicates with the dish locally and is set up in the UI by entering the dish's IP address. Binary sensors report states such as obstruction, heating, motors stuck, sleep, roaming mode, thermal throttle and unexpected location. Sensors cover azimuth, elevation, ping, ping drop rate, download and upload speeds, throughput in both directions and the time of the last restart. Switches handle the sleep schedule and the stowed state, while two time entities set when sleep starts and ends. A presence entity tracks the device location, and a diagnostics download is available for bug reports.
