# StarLine

> StarLine is a built-in integration for Home Assistant. It has 494 installs sharing analytics and needs the vendor's cloud.

StarLine is a built-in integration that connects StarLine car security devices to Home Assistant through the vendor's cloud. It adds binary sensors for alarm, doors, hood, trunk, ignition, hand brake and similar states, plus sensors for battery, fuel volume, mileage, engine and interior temperature, GSM signal and OBD errors. A lock entity covers the security function, a presence entity reports the vehicle location, and buttons trigger the horn and panic mode. Switches control the engine, an additional channel, service mode and Webasto. Actions set the update interval for entities and for OBD data, and fetch the last device state from the StarLine server. Setup is done in the UI with application credentials, account login, and a captcha or SMS code when requested.
