# Russound RIO

> Russound RIO is a built-in integration for Home Assistant. It has 110 installs sharing analytics and works locally.

Russound RIO is a built-in integration that connects Russound multi-zone audio controllers to Home Assistant locally. It provides media players along with number controls for balance, bass, treble and turn-on volume, a party mode select, and a loudness switch. The controller can be reached over the network by host and port or through a serial port with a chosen baud rate. Home Assistant can discover the controller on the network and offer to add it, and setup is done in the UI. An option lets Home Assistant hide sources that are disabled for a zone from that zone's source list.
