# Roku

> Roku is a built-in integration for Home Assistant. It has 12.5k installs sharing analytics and works locally.

Roku is a built-in integration that controls Roku devices from Home Assistant over the local network. It adds a media player and a remote for each device, along with binary sensors, sensors and selects. The sensors report the active app and its ID, and the binary sensors show details such as headphones connected and support for AirPlay, Ethernet and find remote. Selects allow switching the application and the channel. A search action emulates opening the search screen and entering a keyword, and an option sets the application ID used when launching media playback. Devices on the network are discovered automatically, and setup is done in the UI with the device hostname or IP address.
