# Radio Thermostat

> Radio Thermostat is a built-in integration for Home Assistant. It has 74 installs sharing analytics and works locally.

Radio Thermostat is a built-in integration that connects Radio Thermostat units to Home Assistant over the local network. It adds a climate entity for temperature control and a switch for the hold setting. An option lets temperature changes apply as a permanent hold. Home Assistant can find the thermostat on the network and offer to add it, or the host name or IP address can be entered in the UI. Nothing extra needs to be installed, since it ships with Home Assistant.
