# Rachio

> Rachio is a built-in integration for Home Assistant. It has 7.3k installs sharing analytics and needs the vendor's cloud.

Rachio is a built-in integration that connects Rachio irrigation controllers to Home Assistant through the vendor's cloud. It adds binary sensors for flow and rain, switches for rain delay and standby, and calendars. Zones can also be controlled with switches, and an option sets how many minutes a zone runs when its switch is turned on. Actions cover starting a single zone, a schedule or smart hose timers, starting several zones as a custom schedule, pausing, resuming and stopping watering, and setting zone moisture percentage. Zones started together should be on the same controller to avoid issues. Setup happens in the interface with an API key, and Home Assistant can discover the device on the network and offer to add it.
