It has 9k installs sharing analytics and works locally. Proxmox VE is a built-in integration that connects Home Assistant to a Proxmox VE server over the local network. It adds binary sensors for backup status, node or guest status, and storage state such as active, enabled and shared. Sensors cover CPU, disk and memory usage, network input and output, uptime, status and backup duration. Buttons start, stop, pause, resume, suspend, reset and shut down guests, and can create a snapshot, with start, stop and suspend actions for all guests at once. An update entity reports software updates. Setup happens in the UI with either a password or an API token, and new devices appear on their own while removed ones are cleaned up. Nothing to download. - **Adds new devices**: New devices show up without setting it up again. - **Cleans up devices**: Devices that are gone are removed by themselves. - **Change settings later**: Its connection settings can change without removing it. - **Gold quality**: Home Assistant's own rating of its code and setup experience. - **Updated with Home Assistant**: Ships and updates with every Home Assistant release. ## Setting it up It is added under Settings, Devices and services, with Add integration. ### Connect to Proxmox VE - **Authentication method**: Select authentication provider for your Proxmox VE server - **Host**: The hostname or IP address of your Proxmox VE server - **Port**: The port of your Proxmox VE server (default: 8006) - **Use an API token**: Enable to use an API token or leave disabled to authenticate with a password - **Username**: The username for the Proxmox VE server - **Verify SSL certificate**: Whether to verify SSL certificates.
