# OSO Energy

> OSO Energy is a built-in integration for Home Assistant. It has 75 installs sharing analytics and needs the vendor's cloud.

OSO Energy is a built-in integration that connects OSO Energy water heaters to Home Assistant through the vendor's cloud. It adds a water heater entity along with sensors for water temperatures at different tank levels, heater mode, optimization mode, and the amount of mixed water available at 40°C. Binary sensors report whether the heater is heating, in power save, or using extra energy. Actions can read and set the heater temperature profile, set the minimum quantity of water at 40°C, and turn on away mode. Heating can also be turned on or off for one hour, or until the maximum or minimum temperature is reached. Setup happens in the UI and asks for an API key.
