# OpenDisplay

> OpenDisplay is a built-in integration for Home Assistant. It has 89 installs sharing analytics and works locally.

OpenDisplay is a built-in integration that connects Bluetooth OpenDisplay devices to Home Assistant and works locally. It provides binary sensors, event entities and sensors, including a battery voltage reading. An upload image action sends an image to an OpenDisplay device. Devices that use encryption need their AES-128 key, entered as a 32-character hexadecimal string, and the same key is requested again if re-authentication is required. Home Assistant can discover the device by itself and offer to add it, and setup is done in the UI. A diagnostics file can be downloaded to attach to a bug report.
