# Nintendo Switch parental controls

> Nintendo Switch parental controls is a built-in integration for Home Assistant. It has 1.5k installs sharing analytics and needs the vendor's cloud.

Nintendo Switch parental controls is a built-in integration that manages screen time limits on a Nintendo Switch. It connects through the vendor's cloud and is set up in the UI using an access token link copied from the Nintendo website. It adds a number for the maximum screen time today, a select for restriction mode, and a switch to suspend software. Sensors report used screen time, extended screen time and screen time remaining, while time entities cover the bedtime alarm and bedtime end time. Actions add bonus screen time, update the PIN code, and retrieve today's application usage reports for a device or for a specific player.
