# Nexia/American Standard/Trane

> Nexia/American Standard/Trane is a built-in integration for Home Assistant. It has 1.2k installs sharing analytics and needs the vendor's cloud.

Nexia/American Standard/Trane is a built-in integration that connects Nexia-based thermostats and HVAC systems to Home Assistant. It talks to the vendor's cloud, and setup in the UI asks for the brand, a username and a password. It adds climate controls, scenes, and switches for emergency heat and hold, plus a fan speed number. Sensors report outdoor temperature, system and zone status, compressor speeds, air cleaner mode, and RoomIQ temperature, humidity and battery. Binary sensors show whether the blower and emergency heat are active. Actions set the air cleaner mode, the cooling dehumidify and heating humidify targets, and the HVAC run mode.
