# Netio

> Netio is a built-in integration for Home Assistant. It has 18 installs sharing analytics and works locally.

Netio is a built-in Home Assistant integration that controls Netio devices through their local JSON API. It adds switches to Home Assistant for the device. Setup is done in the UI, where the host, port, username and password of a device account with read-write access are entered. Options cover connecting over HTTPS and whether the device's SSL certificate is verified. Older YAML configuration is being removed, and a notice can appear in Settings under Repairs.

## Supports

## Setting it up

It is added under Settings, Devices and services, with Add integration.

### Connect

- **Host**: The hostname or IP address of your Netio device.
- **Password**: The password of the device account.
- **Port**: The port of the JSON API web server on the device.
- **Uses an SSL certificate**: Connect to the device using HTTPS.
- **Username**: The username of a device account with read-write access to the JSON API.
- **Verify SSL certificate**: Verify the SSL certificate of the device when using HTTPS.
