# Motionblinds

> Motionblinds is a built-in integration for Home Assistant. It has 2.4k installs sharing analytics and works locally.

Motionblinds is a built-in integration that controls Motionblinds covers through a local gateway. It adds cover entities for the bottom, top and combined positions of a blind, plus battery sensors for the bottom and top motors. Buttons move a blind to its favorite position or store the current position as the favorite. An action sets the absolute position of a cover. Home Assistant can find the gateway on the network and offer to add it, and setup runs in the UI with an API key and the gateway's IP address. An option controls whether updates wait for a multicast push.
