# Minecraft Server

> Minecraft Server is a built-in integration for Home Assistant. It has 2k installs sharing analytics and works locally.

Minecraft Server is a built-in Home Assistant integration that reads the state of a Minecraft server. It connects locally and is set up in the UI by entering the server address, with an optional port, and choosing the server edition. Legacy Java Edition, Java Edition and Bedrock Edition are the supported choices. A binary sensor reports whether the server is online. Sensors cover edition, game mode, latency, map name, world message, players online, maximum players, protocol version and server version. A diagnostics download is available for attaching to bug reports.
