# Libre Hardware Monitor

> Libre Hardware Monitor is a built-in integration for Home Assistant. It has 448 installs sharing analytics and works locally.

Libre Hardware Monitor is a built-in integration that reads hardware sensor data from a system running Libre Hardware Monitor. It adds sensors to Home Assistant and talks to the monitoring application locally through its web server. Setup happens in the UI, where the host address or hostname and the port of the web server are entered, with the port defaulting to 8085. A username and password can be supplied when the instance requires authentication. New devices appear without repeating setup, and devices that are no longer present are removed automatically. A diagnostics file can be downloaded to attach to a bug report.
