# KEF

> KEF is a built-in integration for Home Assistant. It has 76 installs sharing analytics and works locally.

KEF is a built-in Home Assistant integration that controls KEF speakers over the local network. It adds a media player for each speaker. Beyond playback, it provides actions for adjusting the speaker's sound processing settings. These actions set desk mode, wall mode and treble trim in dB, as well as subwoofer gain in dB. Others set the high-pass frequency and the subwoofer low-pass frequency in Hz, and change the speaker mode. A separate action refreshes all DSP settings, and setup is done in the configuration file.

- **Set desk dB**: Sets the "Desk mode" slider of the speaker in dB.
  Fields: dB value
- **Set high hertz**: Sets the "High-pass mode" slider of the speaker in Hz.
  Fields: Hertz value
- **Set low Hertz**: Sets the "Sub out low-pass frequency" slider of the speaker in Hz.
  Fields: Hertz value
- **Set mode**: Sets the mode of the speaker.
  Fields: Bass extension, Desk mode, High pass, Phase correction, Subwoofer polarity, Wall mode
- **Set subwoofer dB**: Sets the "Sub gain" slider of the speaker in dB.
  Fields: dB value
- **Set treble dB**: Sets desk the "Treble trim" slider of the speaker in dB.
  Fields: dB value
- **Set wall dB**: Sets the "Wall mode" slider of the speaker in dB.
  Fields: dB value
- **Update DSP**: Updates all DSP settings.
